Hi
It's now Friday today we are a whole day behind but an hour ahead. It has been very hot over here reaching about 32 degrees but it has also been raining as well. The rain only lasts a short time tho. Have taken a few pictures but am unable to upload any because the internet is quite slow here.
The boys lost the final last night to the locals 14-4 :( but managed to see the Kiwis such as Ruben Wiki...I tried to take some photos of them. The Kiwis cancelled their game against the international Cook Islands team also known as Kukis here because of the Grandfinal game held last week (Warriors vs Manly). Over here they have league clubs such as Sea Eagles, Bulldogs and Panthers as well...I have been all over the island heaps of times because it only takes about half an hour to go around the whole island. There are heaps of mosquitoes and have been bitten heaps of times.
Everything is expensive over here for a 1.5 litre bottle of coke is $4.70 each... the powerades are cheaper than the fizzy drinks. You have to drink bottled water because the tap water is yucky.
We are off to the beach shortly because it is now 30 degrees and it is only 10:30...
I hope you enjoy your holidays....it is the locals last day at school today but they only have a week off (not sure why) I was told that there terms are about 12 weeks long so we are really lucky. I am looking forward to seeing Mrs Hunt and Mrs Genkins who are coming over tomorrow. We are planning on watching the All Blacks and Argentina play.. GO THE ALL BLACKS..
Until my next posting have a safe holiday.. I hope the fish have been fed!
By the way Abbey it sounds like a good idea to send a post card.
